:: As you might or might not know, we hold elections next weekend. Now if you're a Swiss citizen and you haven't yet decided who to lift into the lofty political heights of Bundesbern, and whom to tell to take a hike, maybe you could give smartvote.ch a try. The idea is that lots of our politicians have filled out a questionaire, and you will fill out the pendant; what smartvote is supposed to do is correlate your answers with those of the politicians, thus giving you a hint which politicians are most like you, politically speaking.

Of course, conspiracy theorists will claim that smartvote is actually hosted by a sinister organisation trying to trick you into voting for this party or that.

I'd call it nonsense but then again, there is a certain danger here... it's a bit like the Google syndrome. Have you ever thought about how much power Google has? They basically decide what the average net user gets to see of the web. It's an awesome amount of media control they could theoretically wield.
